Here's a look back at the Exposcience Relay Day that we did on Thursday 6 May afternoon at the Lycée de la Borde Basse de Castres in the Tarn. For this occasion, we were welcomed by Mr. Fabien Guilloton, a biotechnology teacher.
On this half day we were able to meet a class of Terminale STL-Biotechnologies (Sciences and Laboratory Technologies) carrying out eleven different projects. Gilles Teston, radio host of the Francas du Tarn was with us to interview the groups of students wishing him with the help of the radio set he brought with him, so that they could explain to us the project that they set up in the course of their last year of high school.

In parallel with the radio set, CIRASTI also conducted its own interviews, but in a different format this time as they took place face-to-face. We also had the opportunity to observe the experiments being carried out, as well as the results of other experiments which had already been completed.

We were able to exchange with seven groups with each of the very interesting biology projects, here is a list of the projects we were given to see:
- The effects of vitamins C on microbiota
- The clean-up of the Agout water (river in the Tarn)
- Study of the effectiveness of antibiotics on micro-organisms?
- Clean-up of sinks
- The effect of massive consumption of a plant containing hormones: soya
- Veganism, comparison of vitamin B12 assimilation with spirulina?
- Effects of contraceptive pills on the environment and organisms.
All student groups were able to answer these three questions:
- What was their project and why did you choose it?
- What were the different stages of their project?
- What were the expected results and those achieved?
Thanks again to Mr Fabien Guilloton, professor of biology in Terminal STL at the Lycée de Laborde Basse in Castres for his welcome.
