The 08/10 took place the Relay Day Exposcience, an event programming: workshop-conference and conference with Cosmo Radio Francas, the game of the 1000 curious with Radis Sound.

About 120 people, students and the general public participated in the various activities with 60 students on the workshops and about 50 people at the evening conference on quantum mechanics!

Several interviews were also conducted by the radio workshop and interviewed the students of the DEPOL DECAZ club as well as Marième Leygonie, coordinator of CIRASTI.

Find all the animations of the day in podcast on Radio Francas!

The aim was to enable students who had participated in a science and technology project to value it via radio, and also with their peers in their institution.

The event was also an opportunity to explore the sciences, the students' knowledge and develop their curiosity in a fun way.

Day for high school students in partnership with the Lycée La Découverte with:

  • participation in a workshop/conference « Why are the days of the week in this order? » with Cosmo Workshop on the history of science, featuring the multidisciplinary approach of the Pythagorician school around mathematics, language, music and astronomy.
  • announcement and valorisation of the projects carried out in the high school and presented at the Fête de la science through a radio set broadcast live on FM waves with Radio Francas
  • conducting a citizen debate with all high school students and Radio Francas
  • participate in the game of curious miles, discover the unusual object! with Radis Sound on the radio set

19.30 - « Can we understand quantum mechanics? » – from 12 years old – room indicated at the reception of the Lycée la Découverte

On the programme, a fun and interactive conference!

– A particle both here and there? I never really believed it.
– Schrödinger's cat: dead or alive? Since 1935, he's been dead for sure!
– A property of a particle that does not exist before it is measured? If you say so... ; But is it purely quantum?
– Super-luminous interactions between photon pairs? And the relativity in that?
I really don't understand quantum mechanics!

and porrtant, la quantum mechanics is the most successful science that ever existed, it is used everywhere: laser, GPS, computer, telecommunications, medicine... it allowed the development of solid state theory, elementary particle physics, modern chemistry...

It's an extraordinary algorithm that allows us to calculate a lot of things with unparalleled accuracy, but can we understand it? Does she help us understand the world better? Or, on the contrary, it does not mist over understanding.

In this conference, we will try to answer these questions by addressing in particular Broglie-Bohm's theory, which sets a little bit of order, disperses this quantum fog and which allows us to distinguish between false strangeness (falseness, realism) and true surprising facts (quantum intrication).
