For the second year in a row, CIRASTI Occitanie and Weisswasser were able to work together to offer a scientific stay to young French and young Germans to build rovers.
This OFAJ-funded project proposed to go to this small German town near Dresden and Cottbus for 8 days of construction, exploration and discovery. As a result, 6 young French men, 3 French women and 3 Toulouse women aged 15 to 19, left from 16 to 23/02/20. Half of the participants were members of the Robotronik club, accustomed to Exposciences and the challenges of Robotics (organized by Planet Sciences).
On the programme: construction of rovers with welding, cutting, programming and even painting, discovery of German customs and customs, intercultural games and animations and visits!
The young people were able to visit a crash-test software factory, another mirror manufacturing plant, a laboratory at the University of Cottbus working on different aeronautical materials, or finally the university library! Various activities and punctuated by cooking workshops or rovers football matches!
An experience that today becomes even more important as it was the last trip that the Occitanie CIRASTI was able to organize, almost a year ago! We look forward to being able to travel again and exchange precious moments of sharing between cultures (scientific, technical or culinary)!
