From 30 May to 5 June 2026, CIRASTI Occitanie had the honour of hosting in Toulouse 7 delegations from around the world in the framework of Mobisciences, an Erasmus+ European exchange programme (13-25 years) and international partnerships. Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Luxembourg, Morocco, Italy and Belgium are the countries that collaborate with us on this project and have come to present their scientific projects at Exposciences Occitanie 2026 at the University of Toulouse on 3 and 4 June.
In order to ensure an unforgettable stay, the team of CIRASTI Occitanie has prepared a programme for them with small onions! Every day, several activities of all kinds (cultural, playful...) were planned for them to discover Toulouse, the pink city, in all its colors!
The delegations visited emblematic places of Toulouse: the market of Saint-Aubin, the museum of the Abattoirs, the Cité de l'Espace, the Halle de la machine and they were even given a guided tour in the heart of the streets of Toulouse in order to know all its secrets.
They also participated in belot and petanque tournaments, two typical French activities that allowed them to discover our culture from another angle!
During Exposciences Occitanie 2026, each delegation presented its project(s):
- Spain: "The intelligent botanical road"
- Portugal: "FruitGlow"
- Mexico: "Ecological hair dye based on seeds of Ligustrum vulgare"
- Luxembourg: "The influence of rope length on the time required for a miniature helicopter to reach a given height" and "What happens to your memory when you try to learn new things in the noise?"
- Italy: "R.I.S2”
- Belgium: "Created with SCOBY and taste its juice!"
- Morocco: "Muscharabieh : ancestral air conditioner revisited", “Clepsydra of Fez" and "Hbiological orlog and chronometric accuracy
The day of Wednesday, June 3, ended with a tasting of local products from each country as well as an intercultural time where international youth represented their country with dances, music, quizzes and many others. Thanks to them for sharing their culture.
Thanks to the organizations: the Foundation for Young Scientists Luxembourg, the Fundação da Juventude (Portugal), the Red Nacional de Actividades Juvenilees en Ciencia y Tecnologia (Mexico), association The Small Fez Debrouillards (Morocco), the Federazione delle associazione scientifique e tecniche (Italy), association Young scientists (Belgium) and Collegi Bisbe Bridge (Spain) for their collaboration on this Mobisciences project and for allowing these young science enthusiasts to travel, exchange and discover other countries and cultures.
