From 24/02 to 03/03/2019, last year, took place a week around the Rover Lunaires in the city of Weisswasser, located in the southeast of Berlin, Germany, close to the Polish border.
6 young people aged 17-25 and 2 accompanying persons participated, half came from Toulouse and the other half from Montpellier, and were welcomed to the Weisswasser e.v. station and 7 other young people aged 13-18 from around the corner or from Bern.

The technical objective was to finalise the construction of its lunar rover, via the technical assembly of the block-chains and motors, the wooden structure or the electronic components, then via the programming allowing to guide its module through its phone.

These moments were also the place of mutual assistance between young people and exchanges of skills. This was also the case with the kitchen, because with meals organized collectively by the young people, they are know-how that we discover as teams!

We also wanted to get to know these other young people, communicating in a language other than ours, in order to coexist at best and discover their culture, taste and create new connections while having fun!

Intercultural games and exchange evenings were planned for this purpose, as well as visits to the city of Weisswasser and also to Cottbus and his university and some of his labs.

We were also able to celebrate in our own way the 50 years of the first steps of Man on the Moon, with a small conference (translated by a volunteer in French) on the Moon and the various Appolo missions that existed to go there, followed by a telescope observation of the sky!
A busy week, many discoveries: cultural, gastronomic, technical, and especially human!
We leave again in 2020, from 16 to 23 February, Register before 31/12/2019!

This stay was organised by LJBW and CIRASTI – Exposciences in Occitanie and is funded by the Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ).
