From 3 to 5 April, the Georges Brassens Hall in Sète hosted the 2024 edition of Sèt-Expo-Sciences. Some 30 scientific projects by children and young people were presented. Participants had the opportunity to discuss with a jury of scientists, in the presence of the sponsor of this edition, Julie Varupenne, and the sponsor, Paul Emmanuel Venderriele.
Driven by the commitment and energy of the volunteers of the association Sèt Their presence has helped to enhance the involvement of young people and encourage their scientific curiosity.

Throughout the event, visitors were able to attend many exciting conferences. Among the topics discussed were the transition between research and applied science, the concept of a digital twin, with the intervention of Jim Spohrer (Yale University), and a conference on heat islands, an urban phenomenon of increasing concern.

Radio Francas was also on the side, going to meet the young people to gather their testimonies about their projects. These interviews will very soon be available in free listening on Audioblog, a nice way to extend the experience and discover the projects even remotely.

Among the topics explored this year are: global warming, robotics, brain functioning, and terrestrial and underwater exploration through themes such as volcanoes, tsunamis and the fascinating world of whales. A true overview of the scientific stakes and wonders of the world around us.

Finally, a highlight of this edition was the arrival of two young people from the association WITH Montpellier, recently returned from I-Fest2 in Tunisia, as part of the program Mobisciences 2025. Their feedback inspired and stimulated the other young people present, opening a beautiful window on international scientific cooperation.
