On Friday, 18 April 2025, nearly 200 children from leisure centres throughout Occitanie gathered at the City of Space to participate in Scientific Leisure Day 2025. The event, organized by CIRASTI, aimed to introduce science in a fun and interactive way, while fostering team spirit and creativity among young participants.
The children met five scientific challenges, prepared upstream in their recreation centres. Each challenge, designed to be both fun and educational, allowed children to explore scientific concepts in a variety of fields, while encouraging initiative and collaboration.
As a result of the challenges, participants took part in collaborative challenges where they were able to apply the acquired skills and develop team solutions.
In addition to the scientific challenges, the day was marked by a discovery of the City of Space, a true setting of scientific culture. Children had the opportunity to explore exhibitions and attend immersive shows at the Planetarium.
A new edition of Scientific Leisure Day is already planned for the year 2026. We hope to find you many for new scientific discoveries and challenges!
