[OCCITANIA EXPOSCIENCE ACTUS]
We took a little time to communicate, the health situation being what it is, we were in the middle of thinking about theExposcience Occitanie 2020. 🧐
It is very important for us that young people aged 11 to 25 who have spent some time working on their project can have a space of valorisation, so that they can meet scientists and/or other young people who share their passion.
And for that, we chose to transform Exposcience Occitanie!
We hope you will be numerous and numerous at the appointment! 🤓🥳
The news is coming! Stay connected and follow us on social networks!

Scientific Controversies

by FReDD

Friday continuously from 1.30 to 5 p.m.

All-inclusive entertainment; school from 12 years old

Get into the controversy!
A question: Can organic farming feed humanity in 2050?
On this issue, scientific studies are carried out and research teams analyse situations: opinions are divided, debate is open.
Controversy is a moment of critical spirit formation; a time when one must listen to understand, explain arguments and engage in the prudent formulation of a notice.
Scientific debate is an integral part of the scientific approach: to highlight the results of studies, to accept the contradiction in order to deepen the reflection, and gradually to shed light on complex issues.
Come and participate very simply in the controversy, and formulate your opinion.
From two 1 minute video pellets that present a scientifically reasoned, experimented point of view, participate in the debate and give your point of view.
The workshop is prepared and facilitated by the association FReDD (Film, Research and Sustainable Development)
This public awareness event is the result of the DIMEDD research programme carried out by the CLLE laboratory of the Toulouse Jean Jaurès University (response to the national E-FRAN AAP).

The video pellets are made by SapienSapiens.
The animation support computer platform is created and managed by Kodaizen.

Exposciences at the time of 2.0 and the importance of intercultural exchanges. The speakers of this round table are all organizers and organizers of Exposcience on different territories. The current situation has called into question the organization of these events and has rested in a different way the question of digital and its uses. What are the benefits and disadvantages?

International exchanges could not take place this year because of the closure of borders, even though intercultural exchanges are a certain contribution of Exposciences. Besides, what does one observe over the years? What are the values defended in these exchanges, should they be maintained and how in view of the current situation?

Debates-Meetings Science & Society

by Arcadie Albi

Saturday from 11.30am to 1pm

from 11 years

It is a space for exchanging ideas, a debate what!

Everyone brings their vision of a given subject and feeds the conversation through their experience and/or ideas!

The subject of the day will be « the role of scientific research in today's and tomorrow's society ». So get ready because it's gone for an exchange that promises to be up to date!

Scientific researchthey to Improving our daily lives? What are the areas in which research is concentrated? Y does it have an equal distribution of the Financing and publications between these different fields?

We have asked for the participation of researchers in science to inform us during the debate about their role in scientific research and how they design their work.

Let us remember that while some scientific discoveries have marked history, scientific research often goes unnoticed.

Arcadie proposes to reflect together and to discuss by developing spaces for civic debate and reflection, non-partisan and non-dogmatic.
