Projects 2023:

1 – The Little Archaeologists
École Maternelle Reille et Grottes & Archéologie – Toulouse (31)

Children follow the animal and small seeds of the art passport this year which placed them in the skin of an archaeologist. They discovered specialties of this discipline, such as carpology (seed study) and archeozoology (animal bone study) by reproducing the actions of the scientist. By participating in the exhibitionscience, the child then takes the place of the mediator and transmits what he has chosen by presenting the course and conducting workshops on carpology and archeozoology.

2 - Atlantic salmon rearing
Hubertine Auclair and MIGADO College – Toulouse (31)

We breed Atlantic salmon to reintroduce them into their natural environment. We seek to preserve but also to study a common species of our rivers that suffers the adverse effects of man.

3 – Study of the Earth and the Environment through Space
Collège Jacques Prévert – Saint-Orens (31)

In recent decades, Earth observation from space has profoundly changed our gaze on the planet and its environment. Space observation allows us to monitor the global changes to which the planet is subjected as a result of natural phenomena and human activities. The data collected can be used to feed predictive models that serve society to improve the quality of life and protect our planet from the effects of global warming. Students will try to answer the following question: How can the Earth's satellite study limit the impact of pollution on climate and the environment?

4 – Phytohormone
Lycée la Borde Basse – Castres (81)

Phytohormone (plant hormones) are produced by plants and allow their growth by being transmitted throughout the plant. The types of hormones that are mainly found for plant growth are ethylene, l的auxin and cytokinin.

What are the effects of phytohormone on living organisms?

5 – Maternel milk
Lycée la Borde Basse – Castres (81)

The project involves comparing the nutrients of industrial milk with breast milk, in order to deduce whether milks designed industrially for infants provide all the nutrients that breast milk can bring.

Does first-age milk specially designed for infants have a good nutritional intake?

6 - Effects of pool water on the Microbiote
Lycée la Borde Basse – Castres (81)

As summer approaches, the students' project is to examine the effect of chlorine on the skin microbiota.

What is the impact of pool water on the skin microbiota?

7 - Comparison of organic and conventional agricultural land
Lycée la Borde Basse – Castres (81)

The project seeks to show the major differences that can be found in land from conventional and organic farming. For this purpose, research on whether or not fertilizers, pesticides, and the amount of microorganisms were carried out on soil samples.

Is organic farming really beneficial for cultivated land?

8 - Cosmetic products based on donkey milk
Lycée la Borde Basse – Castres (81)

Is donkey milk a good cosmetic product Compared to goat's milk?

9 - Effectiveness analysis of cosmetic products
Lycée la Borde Basse – Castres (81)

Following the launch of the cosmetics brand « Cosmera » from Borde Bass High School, we want to help the first years to know how to select the best ingredients to produce a good cleaner.

What are the best ingredients for a good face cleaner?

10 - The effect of honey on bacterial angina microbes
Lycée la Borde Basse – Castres (81)

11 - Bromelain from pineapple leaves to increase antibiotic efficacy
Lycée la Borde Basse – Castres (81)

In the area of health, we wondered whether the enzyme in the leaves d的anas, bromelain, has a beneficial effect on antibiotics.

Does bromelain found in the leaves of the pineapple have a beneficial effect on the effectiveness of antibiotics?

12 - Food dyes and their effects
Lycée la Borde Basse – Castres (81)

Food dyes can pose a hazard such as hyperactivity in children, respiratory problems or allergies. Since candies are very popular with children, we have been interested in two candy brands to assess which is the greatest danger. We are therefore wondering what the acceptable daily intake according to the candy marks with an identical dye for a 35 kg child.

13 - Climate Change and Plastic Pollution
Selection of the exhibition – Association WITH – Montpellier (34)

The most existing and visible pollution on our planet is plastic pollution. How are tons of plastic found in our oceans? This means that microplastics contaminate the air we breathe, seafood and salt we eat and water we drink. What are the leads for the future?

14 – Club Robotronik
Lycée Champollion Figeac (46)

Design and realization of a robot, 90% of which is made with a 3D printer

15 – DIY: manufacturing its home products, efficient and ecological?
Collège Antoine Courrière, Cuxac-Cabardès (11)

Students will look for different shampoo, laundry and toothpaste recipes « house » and make them. They will then have to imagine and put in place rigorous experiments to see if these recipes are effective enough to replace industrial products. In addition to this, they will also have to see if manufacturing their own products is more environmentally friendly than industrial ones, for example by working on the packaging and origin of the products used.

16 - Return of airships, an ecological solution?
Collège Antoine Courrière, Cuxac-Cabardès (11)

To start with, students will study experimentally different ways to fly a airship (solar ball, helium, hot air...) to transport people or merchandise.
They will then have to do research and calculations to see whether these solutions are more environmentally friendly on a large scale than other methods of transport (aircraft, boat, etc.) and to study the advantages and disadvantages.

17 – CLASH and OECS
Charles de Gaulle High School – Muret (31)

CLASH (Lycean Sensor on Hydrometric Satellite Alval) and OECS (Continental Water Observation) by Citizens and Satellites).

The CLASH project is linked to the SWOT satellite, launched in December 2022, which allowed us to learn more about water in the world and the effects of climate change on it. The OECS is part of the CLASH project: we have established rules on different rivers, to provide baseline data to the SWOT satellite.

18 - Le Bois de Pouciquot, biodiversity and management
Veracruz Student Association – Toulouse (31)

This project consists of presenting the forest we manage on the campus of the University Toulouse 3 – Paul Sabatier, as well as the different species, and their relationships in ecosystems.

Small games, quizzes and animations are presented on our stand (amphibian birds and blind locusts, fingerprint recognition, general cultivation on animal plants and mushrooms, naturalist drawing, microscope observations...).

19 – CALIPSO – iGEM 2023
INSA, Paul Sabatier University – Toulouse (31)

As part of the international iGEM synthetic biology competition, our team chose to present an innovative project called CALIPSO. The objective is to use liposomal to specifically deliver anticancer products only in the vicinity of cancer cells, in order to limit the side effects of chemotherapy.

International projects:

20 – Theory of Institutional Development by Conscious Arbitrariness
Young Scientists Lux Foundation, Luxembourg

As we are aware, economic, political, and social processes are inevitably complex:

1. We deal with complex systems, which are difficult to analyze. Stocks and flows, cycles and delay of effects obstruct clarity

2. This does not mean that patterns cannot be implied. For instance, the last editions have
built an explanatory model of inevitability of relatively democratic states, over long terms

3. However, the extent of generality and impartiality of this theory is important, which this paper
beginners investing.

21 - Effect of should on us and products around us
Young Scientists Lux Foundation, Luxembourg

This project is going to investigate how much, which is leaving a big problem in wet region, affect our everyday products and how these product affect bacteria.

22 – 2020 for All
Young Scientists Lux Foundation, Luxembourg

2020ForAll is a pair of glasses that uses sound to detect objects in front of it and tells the user where the object is. This pair of glasses would help the visually odded better understand their surrounds.

23 - Evaluating the effects of acidrain in a controlled environment
Young Scientists Lux Foundation, Luxembourg

The goal of the experiment was to observe the effects of acidrain in a controlled environment and to see the effects of therain in an allocated amount of time. It was conducted to see if acidrain is a significant factor in climate change.

24 – Privatization
Weisswasser Station, Germany
25 – Grabbomatic our self-driving robot arm
Weisswasser Station, Germany
26 - Remote controlled mini tractor
Weisswasser Station, Germany
27 – Motion planning and control for robotic arms
Weisswasser Station, Germany
