From 23 to 27 June, a new stage of the Mobisciences program took place in Fes-Mekhnes, Morocco, where the Association of Small Debrouillards of Fez welcomed 5 young college students and their 2 accompaniments for the Spring of Sciences!

On the programme of many cultural tours of the rich heritage of the city of Fez, culinary and musical discoveries! This exchange, funded by the Erasmus+ programme and carried out by the Fondation des Jeunes Scientifiques du Luxembourg, allowed a 20-year-old youth from Luxembourg, Spain, Belgium, France and Morocco to meet and experience an adventure rich in flavours!
The French group was composed of 5 young people from the Collège Antoine Courrière de Cuxac-Cabardès in Aude (11), they came to present their project « Ecolo-Cuir »:
« According to an artist, kombucha, a mixture of bacteria and yeasts used to make so-called miraculous drinks, could also be used to make a fabric close to leather. Since then, researchers have been working on the subject, but French literature remains poor. However, if the project were completed, this would show an alternative to the use of animal leather or different plastics. The theme of ecology is therefore strong on the project. »
A project that should have a Moroccan follow-up since this project has greatly interested them!

For many it was full of first time that this trip allowed, with the first time that they were flying, that they were leaving France and that they were travelling without their parents, or that they met so many young people who were not French!
We are very pleased that the Mobisciences program continues and can allow such rich exchanges!
